With the health benefits of camel milk becoming increasingly recognised, there’s now a huge demand for the product.
To take advantage of this, the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi has just hired an expert whose job is to create concoctions from the vitamin-packed liquid.
Mohammad Daoud will be crafting beverages made from a variety of ingredients mixed with locally-sourced camel milk, resulting in flavours ranging from strawberry to mint.
“I wanted to create something special for the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan,” he says.
“Because camel milk has a high level of protein and additional nutrients, it’s an excellent beverage to consume during suhoor, the meal taken prior to sunrise for Muslims fasting during Ramadan.”
After Ramadan, the hotel will continue to offer its camel milk menu in its Arabic restaurant, Mijana.
Restaurant manager Hasan Al Masri added: “Our guests, both regional and international, are always looking for new experiences and this would be an interesting and authentic opportunity for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi.”
