Self-proclaimed Cowboy Chef Jay McCarthy will be hoping to win his spurs with the UAE’s dining crowd when he takes over the stoves at the Manhattan Grill restaurant next month.
From May 1 to 5, McCarthy will be knocking up a selection of contemporary Texan meat dishes for diners to enjoy at the Grand Hyatt Dubai’s high-end steakhouse.
Born in New York, raised in Jamaica and then educated in Texas, McCarthy is regarded as one of his home state’s finest chefs.
Among the dishes he will be creating are mushroom braised short ribs, grilled cowboy rib eye and smoky mustard New York strip steak, as well as sweet delights such as pecan crème brûlée and cranberry apple cobbler.
